For me, the Insomnia is a women's ski that is fully focused on performance. Compared to the unisex Amphibio 14TI, the Insomnia's wood core makes it a little lighter and softer, adapting perfectly to a female body's power and balance point. Thanks to the titanium reinforcement, however, the ski offers enough bite for skiers who like to go at full speed, or are aiming to get to that level. Thanks to the Amphibio 4D technology the ski is easier to turn (Rocker on the outside), but at the same time it has full corner grip (canter on the inside). Apart from that the turn initiation has been improved (convex part at the tip of the ski) and there is a guaranteed speedy turn completion (concave part at the end of the ski).
Due to the moulded Titanal layer, vibrations are reduced by around 30% and a slim ski profile is achieved, which reduces the weight by around 10%.
The binding system integrated into the ski ensures a faster turn initiation and improved energy transfer because the power hits the ski directly. As well as this the system allows for a harmonious flex.
The Insomnia Amphibio Fusion is the counterpart to the Amphibio 14TI Fusion. With its Amphibio 4D, Fusion bonding system and moulded Titanal insert it offers you the same technologies but it is also a fierce women's ski. The only difference is that the full wood core is made out of lighter, softer wood, so it is specifically for women because it has less weight and power.
