The DYNAFIT Speedfit 84 is an uncomplicated ski with characteristics that are specially tailored for on-piste ski touring. The model weighs a lightweight 1,350 grams (size 176), making it an easy-handling partner for quick ascents. Full sidewalls guarantee good edge grip on-piste, with the model remaining smoothly chatter free and stable in icy conditions. The rocker construction at the tip and tail and the sidecut are also adapted for each ski size, a unique feature in the ski touring market. This keeps the effective edge length equally proportional to each size, allowing it to function independent of the size. To be able to best distribute the model's density, the ski is equipped with DYNAFIT 3D construction. This reduces materials in front of and behind the binding area in order to reduce overall swing weight without losing downhill performance. The 3D carbon shovel improves damping properties on the descent. The ski adapts to downhill conditions and is not only forgiving but also offers smooth control on hardpack. The wood core of the SpeedFit 84 consists of a blend of materials from Paulownia, ash and poplar. An additional fiberglass layer makes handling and flex softer -- and thus optimize its handling characteristics for on-piste touring.

Full Micro Sidewall
This construction principle minimizes the use of materials in the side wall -- lower height with more width -- and is part of the entire length of the ski. That makes the ski stiffer and increases edge pressure. Particularly for serious ski mountaineers, that means enormous precision in edge control -- razor-thin ?blades? for steep, alpine descents when you push the limits of possibilities.
