The second model of the Ultra trail running shoe was a roaring success but our partner Salomon has already improved on it and launched the Salomon X Ultra 3. There are different versions to choose from: a low cut and a mid cut, and with or without a GTX® membrane. We now have this really good, brand new trail running shoe in our selection and would like to introduce you to it:
With the X Ultra 3 GTX®, Salomon has launched an update on the much-loved second version of this shoe. The trail shoe is designed to offer maximum stability and damping. At the same time, the shoe should stop your foot getting tired too soon and offer enough flexibility to allow for a dynamic run. The first two aims are achieved by Salomon’s asymmetrical chassis, which follows the anatomy of the foot perfectly. Salomon Sensifit™ technology keeps your foot in the right position during difficult climbs and descents.
On the sole, two different types of rubber work together to improve the grip of the shoe and offer a more sure-footed feeling on rugged terrains. The sole of the heel was specially designed to offer more control and grip while running uphill. Apart from that, grooves along the sole enable great flexibility, supporting a dynamic rolling motion and preventing premature exhaustion.
The upper is made of a mix of leather and textile and includes a Gore-Tex® membrane that keeps your foot dry, no matter where you run. The seamless toe cap also shields your foot from stones, branches and other sharp objects. The special Salomon lacing system allows you to change into the shoe and adjust it quickly and easily.
Not only are the Salomon X Ultra 3 shoes functional, but also boast a really cool design. What do you think?
