In line with its slogans “Here to create” and “Sport needs creators”, our partner adidas has launched the Art Pack tennis shoe collection this week. Inspired by the world of art, these shoes are ideal for those who express themselves on the tennis court. The collection is made up of three models: the Barricade 2017 POP ART, the Ubersonic 2 Art Nouveau and the adizero Ubersonic 2 Street Art.
As the names suggest, each one of these three shoes represents a different type of art. The Barricade represents pop art from the 50s and 60s. With bold colours and patterns, this shoe is perfect for players who want to turn heads on the tennis court. The second model, the Ubersonic, is inspired by art nouveau. The curved lines and fine patterns based on the transition from the 19th to the 20th century are the main aspect of this tennis shoe. This model was designed exclusively for women, and it suits those who have an elegant, graceful playing style. The last model in the collection, the adizero Ubersonic, mirrors the style of street art. This form of art is one of the fastest out there, and this is reflected in a tennis shoe that provides the speed needed during a game. Apart from that, this shoe represents self-awareness, and it makes a statement for all athletes.
Alex Chan, Director of adidas tennis, tells us about the shoes: “When the best tennis players take to the court, they bring with them their own style, similar to artists. With the Art Pack we wanted to pay homage to these great creators of the court with a product that matches their own style.”
