The 7 participants of the Isar Run running group at Keller Sports began their first training session last Tuesday for the 42nd BMW Berlin Marathon, which is only 10 weeks away. Well equipped with the best Adidas products they embarked on an intense fartlek with around 12km completed in 60minutes at different speeds.  

The training was as follows:

  1. Warm up/stretch
  2. Long and intensive run
  3. 3 minutes quicker pace (speed; 13-14km/h)
  4. 2 minutes casual jog
  5. 3 sprints for every 10 seconds with 1 minute jogging break
  6. 5 minutes pace (12km/h)
  7. 3 minutes quicker pace (speed: 13-14km/h)
  8. 2 minutes casual jog
  9. 3 minutes quicker pace (speed:13-14km/h)
  10. 10minutes pace (12km/h)
  11. 20 seconds full sprint
  12. 2 minutes casual jog
  13. 5 minutes pace (12km/h)
  14. 10 minutes pace (12km/h)
  15. 2 man group sprint – chain 8 times per team
  16. 2 minute casual jog
  17. 20 seconds full sprint
  18. 2 minutes casual jog
  19. 5 minutes pace (12km/h)
