This season, our outdoor partner Salomon has made it a company mission to encourage people (especially women) to go out into nature and discover outdoor sports. It is for this reason that Salomon has launched some new women’s hiking shoes. We now have the shoes in our selection and will briefly introduce you to them in this post. Are you ready for your next outdoor adventure?
Salomon X Ultra Mid 2 GTX® women’s hiking shoes The half-high Salomon hiking shoe combines running shoe technology with outdoor footwear features and a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane. The non-slip Contagrip outsole provides the best stability and security on all kinds of terrain. The moulded EVA footbed and the OrthoLite® insole both offer soft damping and great comfort. To protect the foot, the Salomon X Ultra Mid 2 GTX® hiking shoe comes with fixed heel and toe caps. The stitched tongue stops any little stones from getting inside the shoe. The Advanced Chassis construction, typical of all stable Salomon running shoes, keeps your foot fixed and stable within the shoe. All in all, this is a superb outdoor shoe with a waterproof GTX® membrane that makes it the ideal footwear for hikes. The same shoe comes in a lower version without a mid-cut shaft - the Salomon X Ultra 2 GTX®.
Salomon Quest Prime GTX® trekking shoes The robust Quest Prime outdoor shoe is designed, above all, for long trekking trips. Like the X Ultra Mid, this shoe also has a Contagrip outsole that offers good grip. The Salomon Sensifit system in the Quest Prime GTX® ensures a comfortable fit that keeps the foot in place within the shoe. Apart from that, the rubber toe cap protects the foot from impact. The split suede leather used to make this trekking shoe delivers durability and robustness. With this shoe, no trail will ever be safe from you again. ;-)
Professional adventurer and skier Kalen Thorien set off to the Sierra Nevada with her new Salomon women’s hiking collection in her rucksack with the aim of hiking and enjoying some natural surroundings. In collaboration with Salomon, she’s put together a cool video with beautiful photos and lots of emotion. You can find the full video here - it’s well worth watching!
