In this post we want to introduce the Austrian brand Martini Sportwear Austria:
Martini began as a sports pants tailor’s shop in 1958, based in the Austrian town of Annaberg. Aiming for quality and functionality, the company, still under the original founder’s name (Martin Hornegger), manufactured suits for Austria’s ski jumpers in the 60s. The name Martini came about when, during a ski jumping competition, three Austrians took the first, second and third positions and the public chanted the name “Martini”.
After siblings Martin and Lisa Moser-Hornegger took over their father’s business in 1991 the brand developed further but stayed true to its original philosophy. The company is still based close to Salzburg and continues to aim for quality, multi-functionality and innovative design.
