To commemorate the IAAF World Championships in London at the end of July, our partner adidas has launched its latest shoe in collaboration with the environmental organisation Parley for the Oceans: the adizero Prime Parley. It’s the first time that adidas’ fastest shoe gets a Parley update. Like the Ultra Boost Parley and the Ultra Boost Uncaged Parley before it, the adizero Prime Parley is made of recycled ocean waste. The adizero Prime Parley has the famous adidas BOOST™ midsole and a Primeknit upper.
The adidas shoe is worn by Olympic Champions and IAFF World Champions Shaunae Miller-Uibo and Tori Bowie, from the US, Yohan Blake, from Jamaica and the current world record holder in 400-meter sprint, Wayde van Niekerk (just to name a few). Van Niekerk had this to say about the shoe: "The adizero Prime Parley makes me fast, agile and light on my feet. Knowing that I can help protect the oceans while doing what I love and achieving my best speeds is an amazing feeling."
Matthias Amm, Category Director, adidas Running, added: “This is an exciting time in the history of adizero. Not only are we proud to see the family evolved with Parley material, but we are continuing to break the boundaries of craftsmanship in our drive to advance our heritage of marathon successes and achieve world-record setting speeds. Almost 10 years after Hailie Gebrselassie broke the world record at the Berlin marathon, we return this September to see our best athletes attempt to break the world record in our brand new adizero models.” What do you think of this shoe?
