If we’re looking primarily for control, then the answer is yes! This line’s emphasis on control can be seen in conjunction with the type of monofilament string it uses, which grants great acceleration. If you’re more interested in power and comfort, however, walk away. The Alu Power is a well-known string for tournament players who hit the ball clean and have excellent control. What I personally like about the string is its relatively flat and smooth surface. This surprisingly causes the strings not to move as much—a property that many manufacturers claim in their strings, but few deliver. Granted, that's not really a true indicator of quality, but it's still nice when you can save yourself the hassle. Another effect of this surface is the reduced friction. In my eyes, this predestines the Alu Power for hybrid coverings, because they don’t “saw” through the other strings as fast. This is particularly of interest for people who play lengthwise with monofilament or natural gut strings, because the durability is obviously increased. Besides the excellent control, the string also offers the amazing power of monofilament strings. This combination is probably what causes such popularity among the professionals.
