The new Nadal string was probably the most spectacular new product on the string market in 2010. Simply because a handful of top pros quickly switched to these strings made many players curious. Here, the RPM Blast is really just a further development of the proven Pro Hurricane Tour. It has the same octagonal shape, is also a co-polyester monofilament string—but it plays totally differently. Unlike the Pro Hurricane Tour, the RPM Blast is more flexible, softer, faster and offers improved touch. Here the good control of the Pro Hurricane Tour is retained. As for durability, there is different feedback so far: Some think the RPM Blast lasts longer than the Pro Hurricane Tour, but others think that it breaks faster—so everyone must just see for him or herself.

Conclusion: With the improvements over the Pro Hurricane Tour, the RPM Blast is indeed one of the most expensive, but also one of the best monofilament co-polyester strings on the market.
