Granted, finding the perfect racket can be quite confusing. head size, weight, profile height, grip size, ... – we have some pointers for everyone who is rather mystified by those specifications. We show you how you can find the right racket for your style and player skill:



Type 1 : Rackets for casual players

You just want to take a peek into tennis or want to play some matches from time to time (e.g. during your holiday)? A low priced racket is all you need for those purposes. They are already strung, so you can play some matches right away.

Type 2: Beginner rackets

You are just starting to play tennis, but you are sure you want to continue? Then you'd want a racket that supports you, but also gives you feedback when you make errors to improve your tecnique. Furthermore the racket should remain adequate for some time and not become obsolete after some months of practice.

Typ 5: Tournament rackets

You have a good tecnique, practice regularly, are part of a team and maybe participate in tornaments? Then you'll need a racket with a rather small head size, a slim profile and higher weight.

These rackets are usually unstrung. The choice of the right string depends on your personal preferences. If you prefer control and durability you should choose a monofile string. If power and control is more important to you, a monofile string is the right choice.

Type 6: Rackets for kids and adolescents

The most important aspect is the body height relative to the racket lenght. You can look up the orientation values in the chart down below. The higher the individual skill level, the bigger the tendency towards a longer racket may be. A child that already plays on the big field most of the time should play with a racket with the standard lenght of 685 mm.
